Yes, its true !! Microsoft’s founder and the world’s richest man, Bill Gates, has just joined Twitter. You can start following him at @BillGates. Within just 14 hours, more than 160,000 people have started following him. Imagine the kind of popularity he has !!
The account is indeed real: it is officially a verified account and is confirmed by Twitter’s Caroline Mizumoto. So far, he has only tweeted thrice and retweeted two tweets. He isn’t the first high-profile tech figure to join Twitter. Recently Google CEO Eric Schmidt and also Bollywood’s King – Shah Rukh Khan joined the service. People have been talking about the huge numbers of followers these celebrities got in such less time, but Bill Gates has almost created a record by getting 160,000 twitter followers in just 15 hours !! I think that, slowing down of twitter could be bcoz of traffic generated by Bill Gates News.
